Role Overview

The role is to take responsibility for the design aspects of industrial control panels. Designs are completed in CAD so previous experience with AutoCAD would be advantageous, as would CompEx Certification and experience of hazardous areas. In addition to performing the design of control panels, including all CAD drawings, you will conduct site surveys to establish the functionality of existing panels that are being replaced, manage the panel build, quality control and testing, supervise the installation of panels, and when required the field cabling. We encourage you to develop and in so, offer our customer’s innovation. You will co-ordinate your activities with your Team ensuring all commercial aspects are being met.

Main Responsibilities

Review customer design documents and perform site visits to satisfy yourself as to the requirements of the control panel and any field cabling required 

Interface with customers to offer innovative solutions

Engage with the PLC engineers to achieve the best results for our panel designs   

Complete the LV electrical design requirements    

Complete AutoCAD drawings for the electrical circuits        

Write the panel build specification and interface with panel builder sub-contractors to manage the panel build      

Write the electrical specification and interface with electrical installation sub-contractors to manage the electrical installation

As part of the commissioning team, commission the ICA electrical panels, field cabling, and when required field instrumentation and valves

Compile customer documentation for the control panel, build and testing

Profil :

Required Skills and Experience

2-3 years’ experience in an electrical maintenance environment
Have a recognised electrical qualification
Have excellent attention to detail
Highly motivated, organised and flexible
Positive, personable and happy team player
Ability to foster great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
Ability to work unsupervised.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office incl. Word, Excel & Outlook.
Must be eligible to work in the UK
